My 1962 beetle had late model front mudguards as the car had been 'California ised' When I went to restore it I obtained two sets of early mudguards from which I picked the best of the four. I did not realize until the car was painted that the blinkers were not in the same places. One was further forward and more away from the inside edge of the guard. I have not been able to find out which is the correct set. Does anyone know if there were different locations from when blinkers were first installed in Australia through to the model where the headlight shape was changed - late 60's?
