changing tyres is one of the biggest ways, but it depends if the noise if coming from other sources, like engine etc.
You can put in automotive sound deadener or soundproofing material that you can put under your mats, right on to the metal floors etc.. It's a bit of work, but can deaden the sounds that you often hear in the car.
